Creating a Vision Board

– visualizing your wishes and dreams

A vision board, also known as a dream board, is a collage of your dreams and goals. It
uses images, sayings, and symbols to create a visual representation of your goals and dreams for the upcoming year.

To create your own vision board, you first need to be clear about your goals. Without clarity, it doesn’t make sense to create a vision board.

This is how you can make a vision board:

  1. Clearly define your goals.
  2. Choose the time period that you want to create your vision board. Even if it’s a board for the entire year, it doesn’t necessarily have to be from January to December. It could also be done any other time of the year (ex. May 2025 to April 2026).
  3. What associations do you have concerning your goals? For example, you might have certain colors, patterns, pictures, or symbols that you connect to each goal. When creating a vision board, it’s good to have a different visual representation for each goal. You can make
something by yourself, cut out pictures from a magazine, or print pictures off the internet. Be sure that you show your feelings about each goal through the visual you choose.
  4. Using a large sheet of thick paper or cardboard, paste the visuals on your board in a way that makes sense to you. There are no rules about what a vision board should look like- get creative, move from your intuition, and map out your year in pictures.
  5. Hang your vision board where you will see it every day. This will remind you of what is important, what you value, and the direction you wish your business to take.

This visualization of your dreams and wishes is very powerful because it directly affects your subconscious. Your subconscious then makes sure that you take action and take the right steps to realize your visions, dreams, and goals.
